In Limbo

We are supposed to hear back from the property management company today about whether we get approved to rent a house in Phoenix or not. So, at this moment, we are in limbo. 

We were planning on moving down to Phoenix this summer anyway but if it didn't work out, we could still stay where we are. But, as usual, we got thrown a curve ball. The company we rent from informed us that the owners of the house lost it and the bank was in the process of setting up a short sale. I am not sure what a 'short sale' is really but we won't be able to get a new lease for this house. So, one way or another, we have to move. Hopefully, to the house we are applying for.

M and I went to the U-Haul store and bought a number of boxes. I gave a few to the kids so they can start packing. They have a lot of stuff. Most of it can probably be thrown out, but you know how kids are. They have an attachment to everything. Choosing what to keep and what to get rid of will test their decision making skills. I am hoping that they will make a good go of it.

I have started packing our DVDs and trying to pack the living room. It shouldn't be too difficult because we are not taking our couches and big chair. Our plan is to get find some furniture down where we are moving to so we won't have to haul it down.

Well, we really have our work cut out for us. My least favorite part of moving...packing. Loading and unloading doesn't bother me so much.

Hopefully we will hear something soon. I don't like waiting or being in limbo.
