Feeling Old

I can't believe that it is already October. It is crazy how fast time is passing. Not just the days, but the months and years. Maybe it is because I am getting older. I just turned 42 the other day. Physically, I don't feel older than the day before, but there is something about reaching 40 that makes you think about your life. What I have done and what I haven't. It is mostly the "haven't" that bothers me.

I always wonder how others deal with getting older. I am not really depressed about it, but there are things I wish I could do, but know that I will never be able to. But, I try my best. One thing that I have always wanted to do is to rent a small motor home and drive from one coast to the other and back. I know that I will never be able to do this for it would require a large amount of money. Money that I don't have or will ever get. But, I am trying go on small day trips with the family as our finances permit. I want my kids to have some sense of what is out there...at least where we live.
