A Strange Dream

Since it is Halloween, I thought I would recount a dream that I had last back in 2008 as posted in one of my other blogs.

It wasn't a particularly long dream or graphic, but what I can remember of it gave me an odd feeling when I woke up from it.

I can't remember what time the dream occurred, but I am pretty sure it was in the morning.

It picks up some time in the day when my mom and I are driving down a dirt country road in a car she used to have, a 1984 Ford Crown Victoria. As we are driving down this road lined with trees, we pass two children, a boy and girl, riding what appeared to be beach cruiser bikes. As we passed them, they gave us a very strange stare...a combination of mad and evil. When we started to get ahead of them, they started riding faster and faster to keep up with the car. I told my mom to go faster, but the bike riders were keeping up. Then my mom stomped the gas and we shot ahead of them. Apparently the couldn't keep up. I remember their eyes turned big and black. At that moment, they threw a stuffed animal at us that landed on top of the car. It had claws and was grabbing on some how. When we achieved the top speed, the stuffed animal/creature came off and we sped off.

Later we came to a group of buildings in a clearing and stopped. There were some people around and we related our story to them. One of them led us to a small cinder bloc building. Inside were the two children that tried to chase us. Each was lying flat on a table with their arms and legs shackled.

Their eyes were black as night and they had that same mad, evil stare and they were struggling against their bonds. There were others around the table chanting and doing things to them...though I couldn't tell what.

One of the people stepped forward and asked us of these were the ones, and we nodded. Then we were escorted from the building...

Then I woke up with strange feeling. I couldn't tell you what it might mean, if anything at all. I don't remember anything that I saw or watched the previous day that might have sparked this strange dream, but it is a dream that I will remember for some time.
