Yesterday, I went through two online orientations for Connections Academy, the boy's home school. They were very long and boring but required. Then last night we went to a Connections Academy information session at the library. I didn't get too much more information than I already had but we did get some shirts.
They have shipped the materials for one of the boys already. They re supposed to send us computer to use but we haven't received any information about it yet. i am getting excited about homeschooling. I know it will be very challenging but I know we can do it. I just hope taking them out of regular school is the right thing to do.
Today is my son J's 7th birthday. He is pretty excited. He saw an ad on the TV for a small remote control car a few weeks ago and that's all he said he wants. Luckily my wife and I found the one he wanted on Amazon. It came yesterday so we are safe. My other son has his 8th birthday next week and lucky for us he wanted the same thing. That made it real easy for us.
The kids are growing up so fast. Before I know it they will be moved out and on their own. I will definitely have empty nest syndrome.
These are the trials and tribulations of a regular guy who bacame his children's Dad.
