Walking, Talking and Other Things

It made me very happy last night to see my daughter take some more steps. I know she could walk across the room, but she just doesn't know it yet. Last night she took a number of steps towards my wife (the first time she saw the baby walk). Of course we didn't have the camera to catch it. When I did retrieve the camera and ready it for taking video, she wouldn't repeat the event. We got her standing by her self, and some crawling, but that is all. Maybe next time...

Several times my Mom and younger brother have told me that I should take my sons to see about getting them speech therapy. It wouldn't bother me so much, but they act like I am being a bad parent if I don't take them like tomorrow. Granted, they are hard to understand sometimes, but they are just now getting to be 3 and 4. They can talk and say words. Sometimes they just have a hard time saying some words and mostly words I haven't tried to teach them. My wife and I think they are fine and just taking a bit longer than others.

Usually when my 3yr old wants something to eat or drink he either he goes and tries to get it or throws a fit and shows me what he wants. When I tell hime he needs to ask me for what he wants like "can I have a cookie or a drink" he just says "ask! ask!" And times when he burps he says "excuse me" and sometimes when I give him things, food or otherwise, he says "thank you" My 4 yr old says these things also, but not as often.

Well, enough of the boring stuff.
