Finally my eight month old daughter is crawling. After she learned to sit up by herself about a week and a half ago, she is now crawling. I can't believe it and am also somewhat unprepared.We got rid of our gates after we didn't need them with my sons anymore. What a mistake that was. Now we have to buy some more.
She as been really trying to get her legs coordinated for the past few days. Yesterday I went out with my wife and my sister-in-law who was watching the kids called and asked why we didn't warn her that the baby was crawling. We didn't inform her because we didn't know ourselves.
For the most part, I think it is really great that she is crawling, but now we have to keep everything off the floor except her toys. The cats aren't too happy about it either. They are not safe just by laying out of her reach. They have to seek high ground.
These are the trials and tribulations of a regular guy who bacame his children's Dad.
