I learned a lesson this morning. You can't believe what is on labels. Because of the cold and snow we have had, the windows of our vehicles have been icing up over night and needing to be scraped. Last year I purchased some windshield cleaner that said it was also a de-icer. I was excited to use it and hopefully not have to struggle scraping the ice off the windows. My wife had to work early so went out and started the truck to warm it up and sprayed all the windows with the de-icer. I ran the wipers and the ice disappeared. I was all excited that now I would no longer have to scrape the windows. But then, all my hopes were dashed when all the windows iced up again, worse than they were before I sprayed the product on them. Needless to say, I wasn't happy with the results.

If a company is going to put claims on their product label, it better do what it says. I am tired of purchasing a product by what it says on the label and then being disappointed when it doesn't deliver.

Today was the first day of school for my kids after their Christmas break. Despite their lack of desire to get back to school, everything went smoothly and I got my two grade schoolers there early so they could get breakfast. We are running low on supplies at home and will not be able to buy anything until next week
.

My teen-aged daughter wasn't too happy getting to school early, but it couldn't be helped.

By leaving earlier than usual this morning, we were able to enjoy a wonderful sunrise. The sun was peeking up over the mountains painting the town in a yellow o
range light. With all the snow still on the ground the light really made everything look really beautiful.
