When we lived in the big city, and as usual, had no money (and still don't), I had to come up with free things to do with the kids. One of the things I came up with was taking the kids to the local free zoo. The zoo is called PetSmart. We couldn't afford to go to the real zoo. And as luck would have it, the Petsmart was right next to the park so the kids got a double treat.
The one I took then to usually had all kids of small animals, fish and occasionally cats or dogs for adoption that the kids could pet and look at. The kids would have a good time. They miss it now because where we live, there is no large pet store. Luckily they have discovered the internet and the Wii.
These are the trials and tribulations of a regular guy who bacame his children's Dad.
