M and I were hoping to have the adoption completed before school started at the end of this month, but it doesn't look like it will happen before then. Although, we really don't know anything about their procedures or how long the process takes.

The other day I got a call from the case worker here in Payson with Arizona's Children. She called the DPS to find out about my fingerprint card because I have not received it yet. They said that it was sent to my address in Casa Grande. I laughed when she told me. I have never lived there in my life. She couldn't believe that they sent it to someone there. Where they got an address in Casa Grande for me we will never know. But, she had them send it to her office here and then she will fax it to the adoption people in Colorado.

Hopefully that will get the ball rolling again and that the rest of the process will go smoothly and will end positively and she will be able to make it here in time for school. I don't know if M and I will have to go to Colorado to get her or first just to meet her to see if she even likes us and would want to live with us. Hopefully so.

Right now, it seems like our family has the perfect dynamic. N is older so she does her own thing and will be in high school. Z and J are so close in age that they are always together and the same with Z and H but with a little more age gap. With the arrival of another child that is in the boy's age range but a girl, I don't know how this will effect everyone's interactions. She is N's half sister, just as the rest of my kids are. None of us have ever met her so anything could happen.

I just hope that we are doing the right thing by trying to adopt her. Will she have a better life here? Will our kids accept her and love her as a sister? Will M and I be able to give her a good life? I wish I knew the answers to these questions. All we can do is the best we can and pray for God's help and guidance.
