Yesterday we had a BBQ for Independence Day. M's mom and sister came over and I grilled burgers, chicken and hot dogs. We had a good time. The kids played most of the day and only watched a little TV. The weather was perfect. Clear skies, breezy and not too hot.

Before the boys went off to bed, I had them go outside in the front yard and I turned off the porch light. They were amazed at all the stars that we could see. They thought it was really cool. Now, if we could only get camping, we could see even more stars.

Trying to get everyone off to bed. It is proving more difficult than it needs to be. But that is just the way of things in this house.

M already went to bed because she has work in the morning. Hopefully I can get all the kids to bed so then I can take a little break and be off to bed myself. I have made a habit if staying up late and more often than not, falling asleep on the couch and then waking up around 2 or so and stumbling off to bed. I really need to change that habit because before I know it, school will be starting. I will have to take Z and J to school and pick them up because they are in school in a different district so they won't bus. N will be in high school and ride the bus.
