Home. M and I stayed in Phoenix this weekend. We needed to get away from the kids and the house and the town. We both had a really good time. We really didn't do anything special, just relaxed and recharged. It was nice to get away for a little bit.
I know it will sound kind of crazy, but we stayed on the campus of a business college. We searched on-line for a reasonably priced but the low priced ones were in areas that we didn't want to stay. We picked one that said 'Executive Suites' and was in a good area. Before we left, I programed the address in the GPS. When we got to the spot, we couldn't see any hotel. We drove around and still couldn't find it so I called and found out that it was on the campus of the college that was on the corner. It was very odd staying on campus, but it was a full functioning hotel. Up until a year ago, it was exclusive to customers of the college. I would recommend it for anyone staying a few days without kids. In the lobby there was a lounge upstairs. There was a refrigerator stocked with soda and milk, water and juice. They had little boxes of cereal, bars of soup, coffee, fruit and other snack items free at all times for guests. There were also about four computers and a laptop station for our use. I would give it a four out of five.
