Today is the kids last day of the school year. They have a half day today so I have to remember to get to the bus stop just after 12pm. In one way I am looking forward to them being out of school. We won't get any notes from the unqualified teachers saying that our sons should be held back, won't have to worry about them riding the bus or any negative influences from other children and I won't have to be rushing to get to the bus stop on time. Camping, camping camping.

On the other hand, I am not looking forward to having all five kids home at the same time. I can handle the weekends because my wife is around to help, but during the weekdays, she is usually sleeping from working the night shift. Also, I have to figure out what to feed them and things to keep them busy. Although I signed them up for some activities at the library. They go one day each week.

Then when summer is over, we are going to be home schooling the boys. I am trying to be optimistic about it. My wife and I agree it is the best thing for them right now, but can we follow through so they actually get a good education? We are going to try our best and hopefully our best will be good enough.

Well, I printed out what I have written so far on my book, "Liquid Dreams" (I may change the title later). It was only 15 pages. I guess I haven't written as much as I thought. I am hoping to finish it before the next NaNoWriMo event in November so that I can concentrate that. Plus having finished a novel will hopefully make it easier to write a second one.

I want to finish it using my Tandy WP-2. It is far superior to the AlphaSmart 3000 that I was using, but I don't trust the file transfer method yet. Maybe I have to go through the process a few more times to get more comfortable with it.

I am currently reading and trying to finish finally, the "Blog of War" that I have on my Palm M125. I read almost half of it then stopped for some reason. I recently restarted it again and am only about 1/6 of the way so far. I am also reading a book on my Filament Books ebook reader. It is basically a pulp fiction piece called "Always Leave'em Dying". It is about a returning character named Shell Scott who is a private investigator in Los Angeles. I have read another one with the same character, "Scrambled Yeggs". It was ok, but this one, so far, is better.
