Follow the Leader

I took the kids to the park today. They have been restless because of their extended spring break by another week. The school district decided to move into the newly build edition to the school over spring break and gave the kids a second week off in order to accomplish this.

The first week we spend in San Diego. This week, the kids released all their bad vibes they were holding in while on our vacation to the detriment of my and my wife's patience.

Well, today at the park, they did pretty good. There were no problems and they started playing with a boy who's mom brought a little dog with them so they had to go and pet it. My 4yr old daughter walked around with a sad look on her face for a while. She was looking for another little girl to play. She usually likes a younger kid to follow and play with her, but this time, there were only older girls. She always wants to be the leader with her 2yr old sister, but usually follows her 6 and 7yr old brothers around when they are tolerating her.

My wife thinks she is going to be a bossy girl when she gets older. I tend to agree, but am kind of on the fence about that. I think that when she gets into school, things will change.
