Poo Poo Finger Syndrome

I am afraid that my youngest daughter has developed the dreaded Poo Poo Finger Syndrome. The same affliction that my other kids had, but luckily out grew of. I don't know about my stepdaughter because I was not there when she was young. I will have to ask my wife about it. I am hoping that she did have it when she was little so that I wont have to go through life thinking that I might be a carrier for the dreaded disease.

My youngest is now at the age when she can communicate to us when she needs, changing which is good because we don't have to wait for the stench of a dead and rotting corpse to hit us to know she needs changing. But she has recently developed PPFS. Now, she doesn't tell us anymore when she needs changing. She has to bring us visual proof by sticking her finger in her diaper and showing us.

This action can have bad side effects including extreme embarrassment, shame, fear, and nausea. I know those afflicted with the disease can't help themselves, but that fact doesn't always lessen the side effects for the family.

I am sure that the doctors will prescribe some medication for her to suppress Poo Poo Finger Syndrome. They prescribe medication for our other children to help them deal with their sister having PPFS, so I am sure they have a pill for the syndrome itself. Doctors are great. They always seem to have a pill for everything.

I know we will get through this together as a family and we will love our daughter even though she has Poo Poo Finger Syndrome.
