Rain, Rain, Go Away!

After living in Phoenix where it hardly ever rains, I am used to lots of sunny days. But here in Missouri we haven't seen many of them lately. The temperature is ok for the kids to play outside, but like today, it is wet and rainy so they have to stay in. And when that happens, there is no telling what could happen. Plus it means more clean up time and less online poker time for me.

The night before last, we got hit by a powerful thunder storm that spawned several tornados south of here. Luckily it weakened by the time it got here. But it still dropped a lot of rain, getting water in the basement. I told the owner, but he didn't seem too concerned.

Well, another weekend the kids can't play outside.

Oh, I almost forgot. I started my new job on Wed. I really haven't done much yet, but there are several projects that I will need to get started on Monday. I am really excited about working again...especially in my field, but I don't like being away from the kids. I feel like I am abandoning them. I know we really need the money, but I can't help feeling that way. I am sure M is happy now that I am not at home during the day. I think she would rather that I not be around anyway.
