A New Start

Well, it has been way too long since I have posted last. A lot has happened since then. First of all, we moved to Missouri. Let me tell you, it is a big change from Phoenix. It is already almost too cold to be comfortable in shorts, where in Phoenix you could get away with them well to the end of the year.

M still hasn't seen the doctor for her pre-natal care. The public assistance is a real mess here and she won't get in till the end of September and even then they might not see her because she is too far along. I am getting really worried for her and the baby. And she thinks she is farther along than she thought. Possibly due in December/January. My sister L is getting married the middle of January so if it is too close I won't be able to go.

Most days seem to be a real mess but then on of the kids will do something to lift my spirits. My son Z just started kindergarten and my daughter N is in 5th grade. I feel sad sometimes that Z is not around in the day but I know that he needs to be there and interact with other kids his age. J and Z are still at home and becoming more independent. They are growing up so fast.

Now I will no longer be at home with the kids...I start a new job tomorrow. In one way I am excited, but still sad that I won't be at home with them. And since my wife is so far along she is not as mobile as she used to be so some things are difficult for her. I feel bad for being at work while she has to try and care for the kids. I know how they can be and it will not be easy for her.

So, I will be off now to try and get as many things done before starting work.
