Last week, my wife and I went out of town for our 5 year anniversary. I was a little worried about leaving the kids and how they would do once they realized that we would be gone for a few days. My wife's sister watched the kids and her two at our house for the three days we were gone. I called earlier in the morning to see how they were doing and then later that night. To my surprise, they didn't seem too bothered that we were gone. It probably bothered me more. My mom said that when her and my dad went away for the first time for several days that she was worried about the kids for about the first two days, then she didn't want to come back because she was enjoying having time away from the kids so much. That is pretty much the way it went with me, but I was really glad to bet back and see the kids.
M and I enjoyed our trip very much. We went to San Diego...actually we stayed in Ocanside, but spent most of what little time we had in San Diego. We took a tour of some sites around the city. One of the stops was Coronado. We really loved it there, especially the hotel Del Coronado and the beach there. Hopefully one day we will be able to afford to stay and a hotel there on the beach with the kids.
M really loves the beach and the ocean and would really love to move to either coast soon, but as usual, there is no way we could afford it at this time unless we won a big lottery.
I would like to move...need to move...out of here. It was fun while it lasted, but I am no longer happy here. Also I feel that my kids need to be raised somewhere else where front yards aren't landscaped with rocks and cactus and where you can have grass in your yard without having to water it every day. Maybe it is just a pipe dream, but a dream that I will not give up on none the less.
It finally started raining and snowing in this state after about 146 days without anything. I love the rain and I missed it. The only drawback is that the park is too wet for to take the kids.
