New Trick

I love to watch my daughter Z , and my other children also, learn new things. When she learned to crawl, walk, and when we observed her trying to dance to music and play with a car. It makes me happy, laugh and gives me a good feeling.

Well, she learned a new thing the other day that wasn't so fun to watch. After coming back from dealing with the goofball brothers, I saw Z walking around with a diaper in her hands like it was a toy or something. I imediately thought she got into the baby bag and snagged one. That was before I took it from her. When I took it from her I realized that it weighed more than an new diaper. Imeadiately I got a sinking feeling. I checked and sure enough she and taken her own diaper off. Luckily it was just a wet one. Great. I remembered what happened when the goofball brothers discovered that trick.

Since it gets really hot in our house in the summer, we would put the boys to bed with just a shirt and diaper. When they found out this trick, they used it to maximum effect overnight. I would go in their room in the morning and instantly know that something was wrong. At some point they decided that wasn't coming go get them up in the morning so they decided they would change their own diaper and show daddy what big boys they were. Needless to say, I had to spend some time cleaning up their beds and having to give them a bath. Not to mention bottles of air freshener.

This time, I am going to keep something over Z's diaper. I definately don't want a repeat. She is very smart and it won't take her long to figure out how to best use her new trick to inflict the most damage.
