Well, I broke down today and got some nasal spray for my poor, totally clogged, nasal passages. After a week of not being able to breathe properly I made a deal with the devil. I had no choice. I had two teeth extracted last week and when breathing through my nose, there is not much pain, but when I have to breathe through my mouth, the air going across the empty sockets is very painful.
Wanting to breathe better, taste my food and have less pain, I made a deal with the devil known as nasal spray. I know there are risks when using this type of product but my will power had been broken and the devil was strong.
After using the spray, my nose was clear and I could breathe again. I almost jumped for joy at the relief. But the joy was short lived. Although air was now passing through my sinuses, I still couldn't smell anything and with the unclogging of my nose, it all came running out and hasn't stopped since.
I guess that is what I get for making a deal with the dark side. I traded one discomfort for several others. The jury is still out on whether I should take a second dose before bed or not. I did pay a lot for the little bottle, so guess the jurors will go with a thumbs up.
