One thing that I have been wondering lately is why to people become teachers. I have known a number of people who were becoming teachers and others who were teachers. They always said it was because of the kids. They loved kids and loved teaching. I believed what they said. It made sense.

When a person decides on a career path, they investigate what is required to enter into that profession, pay, working hours, etc. You would think that they go into it with eyes wide open on all aspects of their chosen career path especially if they are investing a lot of money and time.

Take the profession of a firefighter. One doesn't become one without knowing what will be required of them, and how much money they will make and the risks. The same, you would think, would be true of teachers. But recent history has shown otherwise. Especially because of what is going on in Wisconsin lately.
