Well, tomorrow is Christmas Day. It is finally here. The day that kids across the world have been waiting anxiously for since December 26th of last year. It seems that every year goes by faster than they year before. Is this because I am old, or because adults have a different perspective on time. Either way, life is going by way too fast.
I am happy that I don't have to go out shopping today. I have, in past years, still had shopping to do on Christmas Eve. It was horrible. I still have nightmares about the crowds of severely impatient shoppers rushing all over the stores and the streets, no longer having the time to look for that perfect gift, but settling for just a gift. This is the first year in some time that I will not have to endure that madness. I feel sorry for those poor souls that will be suffering out there today in that sea of craziness.
If I was a thinking man, and a smart man, I would have waken my kids up early this morning so that they would be really tired tonight and go to sleep early. Usually, we have to wait until well after midnight to put stuff out under the tree. The older they get, the later they stay up with excitement in their eyes and thoughts of what Christmas day will bring. Would it be wrong to give them all benidryl so they will fall asleep early?. Yeah, I guess that wouldn't be one of my best ideas.
All of the presents are now under the tree, the kids are all in their beds sound asleep and hopefully having good dreams of tomorrow. Now it is time for us to get to bed. Early to rise and prepare for the trip to Grandmother's house in the morning.
Good night all and a Merry Christmas. God bless us, every one.
