School is Cool

I guess that it is jacket weather. It is only 57F right now. This morning it was really cool. J usually wears shorts to school, but after one cold morning, he is now wearing pants.

Speaking of J, he is doing pretty well in school so far. His teacher said that he is right where he should be. That is in spite of me homeschooling him last year and his last regular school teacher saying that we should have held him back in first grade.

Z is is having a good time in school. She is always in a good mood when I pick her up. She did have an accident today and was in the nurses office when I went to pick her up. I asked why she hadn't put on her extra clothes that were in her back pack and the nurse said Z told her that she didn't have any. Why she didn't check, I have no idea. I guess that would have been the smart thing to do.

Z, on the other hand, is having some difficulties, and I am partly to blame. He has gotten somewhat behind in his lessons and having a difficult time catching up. His overall grade is 90% so he is actually doing well with the material. The problem lies in getting him to actually do the work. That is partly my fault.Three of his siblings attend regular school so I spend a bit of time shuttling them back and forth and it interrupts the flow. It is hard for him to get back into the swing of things when we get back.
