It is a good thing we took our road trip yesterday because today a thunderstorm hit with lots of rain.

Yesterday we went on a short road trip. Everyone needed to get out of the house after two weeks of not going anywhere.

We got off to a late start, but we decided to go to a llama and goat farm north of us in Strawberry. J had been there with his first grade class last year and had been talking about it so I looked it up and it was free so we went.

There were way more baby goats that I thought there would be. One of them had been born just the day before. It was really cute but was very unsteady on its legs. There was also a black cat roaming around with the goats and the kids were petting it. It was really friendly.

After that, we headed home and stopped in Pine where they were having some kind of fund raising thing for the Tonto Natural Bridge. We looked around, visited a museum and a thrift store and had lunch which was really good.

Then it was on our way home with a stop at the realty office to pay rent. M wanted to stop at the small used car lot by our house because they had a truck that she wanted me to look at. It was priced at $8,000 and I was unable to see through the back window to see of it was equipped with a third row seat. Besides, it was too much for us to afford.

After that we made it home. I was hoping to stay up a little while but the trip has made me very tired and I have been nodding off in the chair for the past hour or so.

Right now Z, Z and J are watching Scooby Doo. We can never get enough of that crazy mutt. M, H and N are at the grocery store getting some items that today is the last day of the sale.

Even though it is rainy outside, it is still nice outside. It is nice for it to be storming outside and not be afraid of a tornado. When we lived in Missouri, I was always afraid of tornadoes whenever we got a bad storm, especially at night. I had bought a weather alert radio at a thrift store and programmed it with the counties around and in where we lived. The alarm went off many times in the middle of the night causing me to lose a lot of sleep. I will definitely not miss that.
