The boys are finishing their post LEAP tests. I don't know what is getting into them but the closer to the end of school it gets, the more they drag their feet during their lessons. It has taken all day to do just this two part test. They still have to do two Language Arts. I am hoping to get them to do four more lessons this weekend but I am not going to hold my breath.
Today is babysitting day. Not our usual day, but since we didn't sit for him last week, M said we could sit today.
Last night we had some excitement. I let Sam outside around 22:15 do to her business before bedtime. After a short time, she began to bark, but not to get in. She was barking from out in the yard. M said she might be barking at something. I went out on the back porch to see and I heard and saw something move on the side of the house. I ran in and got my gun and a flashlight and went back out I shined my light and saw a large Javalina in our yard. It was pacing back and forth along the fence and making lots of noises. I didn't know how he got into the yard but was afraid that if scared, it might harm Sam. I closed the gate that separated the back yard to keep it away from her. Then I had to figure out how to get it out of the yard. I called the animal control and they said that they don't handle wild animals. Then I called the AZ Game and Fish. They didn't answer. I was going to unlock the side gate and let Sam out through the front when the mom of the baby we watch pulled up and apparently scared the javalina out of our yard, thankfully.
I know we live in the country and that wild animals roam around the area, I just never expected to have one get in our back yard.
