It being a sunny day outside this morning after having so many overcast days, naturally I thought that today would be a good day. But as is the case most of the time, I was wrong. The mechanic called about the suburban. He said that the engine is shot. To repair the other items that I asked him about would be useless with the engine out. He said he found a used engine in San Diego for $1300 and he would put it in for $800. That is $2100 just to get it to running condition. To fix all the other problems would be another $2500. We could get another vehicle for that price. Granted, not a suburban.

I was hoping he could get it running so we could go on a trip. Now, I don't know what to do. If we put that money in to it, we will have no money to go on a trip. We can't go on a trip in the van because it is too small to take our luggage and stuff. We will have to buy another vehicle though. It is a catch 22. Screwed if we don't get another vehicle and screwed if we do.
