The past few days is nothing but a cold, wet, soggy blur. Three storms hit us here in Arizona. The first was just rain. The second was rain with snow, and the third was snow. Lots and lots of snow. Friday and Saturday we were pretty much snowed in. Yesterday, was sunny out so I shoveled the driveway so that we could get out. The whole state was affected by the storms. Down in Phoenix, they had lots of rain and flooding. Up in Flagstaff, so much snow that they closed roads and some roofs collapsed. My mom was worried about her rental properties in the downtown area because they have flat roofs, the ones at most risk. Fortunately, she was able to get someone to remove the snow.

This will be another week that the kids can't go outside to play because of the snowy and muddy mess. They are getting stir crazy and frankly, I am to some extent.

Also, last week, M was sick for a few days, presumably contracted from some of her patients. Then one by one, by kids became sick. Always in the middle of the night. First was Zoe. She got sick about 2am. The next night was Zack. The got sick about the same time the next night. Then I had a break for a night. But it resumed the following night with both Hailey and Jeffrey getting sick, also around 2am or so. They were sick into the morning and day. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep. I was exhausted. But on Saturday, I finally succumbed to the illness. Although I felt really sick, I did not throw up thankfully. Now I feel like I am almost recovered. My oldest and last child, this morning, said she felt sick so she won't be going to school today.

Because of being sick the past few days, my boys are now way behind in their lessons. It will take a while to get them back on track. Especially today because they are always slow to start on Monday's. But then again, who isn't?

I am backed up in my duties as well.
