The day is starting out clear and a brisk 22F and should be really nice out this afternoon. N still won't get out of bed for school. As usual, she waits until the last minute so she is always rushing to meet the school bus. I should have waken the boys already to start school, but then I wouldn't be able to write this entry.

Yesterday the boys started back to school after a two week Christmas break. Luckily they only had three lessons scheduled just as they do today. They were four lessons behind going into the break but I got them caught up now. Now if I could only get in gear and send in their PE logs and science paper.

M is coming to Phoenix this week after spending the past year in Afghanistan. I really wanted to go down and see him but we don't have any money for gas and second, our truck is not mechanically sound enough to safely make the trip. We haven't been down in quite some time. Hopefully we will be able to get it up and running soon...although I am not holding my breath.

I am starting this new year with the idea that I can get to bed early and get up early so I can get the boys' school going early. Also, I am going to take the TV out of the girls' room and replace it with a small table and lamp. Z has been staying up late watching it but still getting up early. She is not getting enough sleep. Next, I will take the TV from the boys' room and possibly put it in the back room and take out the big old TV. I would give them more room and they could plug in their video games when they want to play.

Watching the Suns @ Kings. Suns are up 41 to 37 in the bottom of the second.

The guys came and put another layer on the South side of the roof today. I guess the owners didn't want to pay to have it redone, just put another layer on. They roofer said that it won't last as long, but that is what the owner wanted. It doesn't surprise me. The floor in the dining room feels like it will fall through if you walk on it and the tub in the kids' bathroom has paint coming off all the time. Most of the paint they used has already come off the bottom and they won't fix that either. Oh well, hopefully we can move into something better next time.

I really should work on my two novels that I started for NaNoWriMo. I think that if I get them finished, I can develop them better on the second draft.
