Home. Things aren't going the way that I want them to today. That is not very unusual now that I think about it.
I got my AlphaSmart Dana that I purchased of of eBay last week today. The first problem is that it is not the wireless model that was advertised in the ad even though there is a sticker (home made probably) on the bottom stating that it is. I guess that I have to contact the seller and probably get some lame excuse as to why it a different model than stated. Second, I downloaded the software to sync with my PC and installed it. But, as usual, things didn't go the way that I was hoping. It won't sync. I will have to explore solutions later when I have more time.
Now, the ceiling is leaking in my daughters' room. It got one of the beds soaked before I noticed it. I am debating weather or not to call the rental office and notify them or not. I doubt that they would come out tonight anyway. I am thinking that i will call early in the morning.

Watching "The Hunt for John Wilkes Booth" on DVR while the winter storm rages outside. Maybe I can use some information from the show to finish my latest NaNoWriMo attempt.
I keep waiting for the power to go out or something to come crashing through the window because the wind is so strong.
I finally got the Dana to sync with the PC. I made a post to the AlphaSmart group on Flickr.com and got a reply with a solution that worked. No I can sync if I so choose. I don't foresee that I will do much of it in the future. I will probably do the same process that I do with my AlphaSmart 3000. Hook up the USB cable and while in a word processor on the PC, dump the file to it.
I know I should be in bed right now, but I just wanted to take my Dana for a test drive. So far I find that it is what I have been searching for. It is as good as I had hoped and better. I just wish that I had the disk that came with it when new, especially Documents to Go to transfer files.
I think I would have done better on my novel last month if had this Dana.
It is awesome to be able to see more than four lines of text like on the AS3000.
