Home waiting for the boys to get ready to start school. I am typing on an IBM ThinkPad that I got from my older brother. It is a number of years old and is running Windows 95. That doesn't mean that it is not useful anymore, but that it just can’t run any new software and probably will not be able to access newer websites. I am thinking of letting my teenage daughter use it for school work, but I would like to try it for writing. I have my iBook I can use, but this is somewhat smaller and lighter. Unfortunately, the battery does not hold a charge and I can’t see where it is located to replace it. I will have to it up on the internet. Hopefully it will not be too expensive. I would also have to get a external floppy drive for our home computer or maybe I can connect to the internet and email my files for my book.

Z is taking a test. J hasn’t been feeling well all day so he is in taking a nap. We gave him some allergy medicine, but it doesn’t seem to be working. He is all congested and having a hard time breathing. Hopefully he will feel better tonight so he can finish his schoolwork.
The other day, I was asked if I could design a website for a family member’s business. I thought about it for a bit because I haven’t done any graphic design work for a year and a half and am feeling a little rusty. Also, I have taken on the responsibility of home schooling my two sons this year. At the end of the day, I am pretty much spent, physically and mentally. But, I decided to give it a shot. I will also need to design the logo and business package first. I think that will be the most difficult but most important part. You can’t have a website for your business unless you have an identity package to base the site on. This will also be a paying gig.
My acceptance of this job means that I will probably have to pull my iMac out of retirement. I don’t know where to put it yet. But if I am going to get paid for my work, I will find a place. We need the money.
