Potty Training

Yesterday, I bought a pink kids potty for my 2yr old daughter. She was so excited about it, that she wouldn't leave it alone when we brought it home.
After lunch I put it together and put it in the bathroom. No sooner did I get it on the floor when she pulled off her diaper and sat down on it and peed. I was shocked. I didn't expect her do use it right away. For the next half hour or so, she kept sitting on her new potty and then getting up and running to me and then running back and sitting on the potty. She did pee one more time in that process.

Today, she peed in it again and then while coloring at the table with her 4yr old sister, she got up and ran into the bathroom. A few minutes, she came out half naked and said "Poo poo." I went in there and sure enough she did in the potty. Can't believe she has taken to it so early. My other four kids took a while to understand what they were supposed to do, but she got it right off.

I am sure there are some so called experts that would say that I am starting potty training with her too early, but I am not pushing her. The potty is in the bathroom and she either uses it or doesn't. No pressure.

She does seem smarter at her age than my other kids were. She already knows several colors, numbers and shapes.

Maybe she will be the female version of Doogie Houser.
