This morning, I asked my two boys what they wanted for breakfast. Since we haven't been to the store in a little while, we have few options. I have them a choice of waffles or cereal. Of course it was a split decision. So I was the tie breaker and said waffles. My younger son J was not thrilled with the decision but I made him two anyway. You know the kind that you put in the toaster...let go my eggo waffles, but these were the generic store brand because we are too poor to buy the good stuff.
Anyway, J was still resisting the idea of eating them, when he saw me putting syrup on them. Then he changed his mind pretty quick and was all excited about eating them and even wanted two more.
It seems like they have been doing that more lately. Fussing up and down that they can't have something, and then they get excited about what they can have.
I am sure that I did the same when I was a kid, I just don't remember and my mom doesn't either.
