My two youngest girls are something else. The older one, Z, will be 4 this month and the younger one, H, will be 2 in January. Every morning, they open their door around 6:30 or so. I usually hear the squeak of their door and the slap of their little feet across the kitchen floor. And then it is on to the living room where they usually find me, at the computer trying to read my email and both will give me a hug. "We're hungry," Z will say and H will nod her head. It is very cute.
Then they will proceed to demand all my attention for the rest of the morning while I try and get my other three children ready for school. Of course on weekends everything is the same except I don't have to get them ready for school.
H will usually get into all sorts of things just to get my attention. So usually, a post on one of my blogs that should take just a few minutes to write, usually takes all morning.
But, no matter how frustrated I may get by the end of the day when I put them to bed, I know that bright and early the next morning, Z and H will find me sitting in the living room at the computer, smile at me and give me a hug, and that wonderful event alone, wipes away all my frustration that I had from the previous day.
Like I always say, kids are wonderful.
