Christmas

Since I haven't written in a while, this will be a longer post.

So far, this Christmas has gone pretty well. M worked on Christmas, so I took the kids to my Mom's house where the family was to gather. The kids had a really good time. They played all day long. I don't think that I ever saw them take a break. Everyone loved baby Z and took their turn holding/watching her. A really great moment was when my Mom was holding Z and got her to laugh loudly. I think that really made my Mom happy. Of course the kids got dirty playing in all the leaves in the back yard. Just like I used to do when I was their age.

Our family won't have Christmas till New Year's Day because M doesn't have to work. I hope she likes what I got her this year. I know she wouldn't tell me if she didn't. I am not a very good gift giver at Christmas. I don't know why, I just can't pick the right stuff.

Well, yesterday was my last day of work. Now I will be a full time stay-at-home dad. My favorite job. It is the most difficult job I have ever had, but it is the best. I get to spend time with my children, and that makes me very happy.

I feel bad for the men and women in the military overseas that are unable to spend this time of year with their families.

I wish M (my wife) didn't have to work so many hours so that I can stay home. Then she doesn't get to spend that much time with them. I love her so and thank her for giving me the opportunity to stay at home with the kids. She is wife and mother to our children.

I will close with this: I feel like the luckies father and husband on earth. I have a wonderful wife and wonderful children and am able to spend my life with them.
